Partners For Quality

Partners For Quality, Inc., a private, non-profit 501©3 corporation, is the parent organization for:  Allegheny Children’s Initiative, Inc., Citizen Care, Inc.,  Exceptional Adventures and the Partners For Quality Foundation, Inc.

Allegheny Children’s Initiative, Inc. (ACI)  provides supports to maintain children and adolescents with behavioral health challenges in their family settings.  ACI serves children and families by providing:  behavioral health rehabilitation services, family-based mental health services, intensive case management services and resource coordination services.  ACI understands that children with overwhelming behavioral or emotional challenges present problems that sometimes seem unsolvable.  Their mission is to assist families in developing and finding solutions for those problems or to prevent problems before they happen.  Their work is tailor made for each child, family, school, and neighborhood.  Their work is centered on the child and their focus is the family.  ACI staff works with  the child in his/her environment – home, school and community.  ACI’s commitment is unconditional and their support  is total.

Citizen Care, Inc. provides residential and vocational / training services to adults who have developmental disabilities.  Through the residential services component, people are supported to live in apartments, townhouses and homes in neighborhoods throughout the southern and western suburbs of Pittsburgh and to participate in the life of their communities.  Activities designed to promote personal independence and the development of work related skills are made available at four training locations.  Through a holistic approach, physical, emotional, social, educational and vocational services are combined, coordinated and provided to each person based on his/her individual interests and needs.

Exceptional Adventures  is a specialized travel service for adults with developmental disabilities.  This program provides opportunities for people with multiple disabilities to go on vacations, take tours and attend an array of entertainment events in a variety of community settings.  Approximately sixty tours a year to destinations around the country are scheduled.

Partners For Quality Foundation, Inc. is the fundraising component of the organization.  It exists to advance, promote and support the Mission of the Agency.  The Foundation solicits charitable gifts from all possible sources.  The Foundation’s goal is to build and strengthen the Agency’s sources of support to supplement government dollars.  This effort serves as the Agency’s primary source of funds to replace specialized / therapeutic equipment, upgrade facilities and provide special programs.
